Renewals and move-outs
Ending a tenancy without ending the record of it.
For landlordsRenewing
Renew the lease with new dates and, if it is changing, a new rent. Last year's terms stay readable — which matters the first time somebody disagrees about what was agreed.
Moving out
End-date the lease. The resident loses access; the record does not disappear. Their ledger, their requests and their documents remain, which is what you need if a deposit is disputed two months later.
