Paying your rent

Open Rent and you will see your balance and how it was arrived at. Pay from there, in the app or the browser.

• Bank transfer — the cheapest, and usually free to you. Takes three to five business days to clear.
• Card — instant to set up, clears in about two business days, and may carry a fee depending on how your property manager has set things up.

Either way the ledger updates the moment the payment succeeds, so what you owe is right immediately even while the money is still moving.

Paying part of it

You can. Partial payments apply to the oldest thing you owe first. If you are going to be short, tell your property manager before the due date rather than after — that conversation goes better.
