1099-NEC preparation

Villagely prepares them. It cannot file them.

For landlords

Vendor payments total through the year. At year end, Villagely prepares 1099-NEC forms from those totals, with tax identification numbers encrypted and only ever shown as their last four digits.

Collecting TINs

Record a vendor's TIN or EIN against them during the year rather than chasing it in January. Villagely refuses to store one at all if encryption is not configured on your deployment — an unencrypted TIN sitting in a database is worse than a missing one.
