villagely

Bringing existing data in

Import from a spreadsheet, with a dry run before anything is written.

Villagely imports properties, units, residents, leases, owners, vendors and ledger entries from CSV. Every import is checked before it is committed.

  1. 1
Open Import and export and pick what you are importing

Each kind shows the columns it expects. Match your spreadsheet's headings to them — the order does not matter, the names do.

  2. 2
Upload and read the dry run

Nothing is written yet. You get a report of what would be created, what would be skipped and what is wrong with it. Fix the spreadsheet and try again as many times as you like.

  3. 3
    Commit it

    Only then is anything saved.

Exports work the same way in reverse — every record type comes out as CSV whenever you want it, including if you leave. Your data is not held hostage.

Still stuck?

Rent, leasing, maintenance, the association and the books — one system, set up in an afternoon.
