Inviting residents

Residents cannot sign themselves up. You invite them, and that is deliberate.

There is no public registration for residents. If anybody could sign up claiming to live in your building, you would spend your week working out who actually does. So you add them, against a unit, and they get an invitation by email.

  1. 1
Open Residents and add the person

Name and email address are enough to start. The email is where the invitation goes, so it has to be one they read.

  2. 2
    Attach them to a unit

Through a lease for a rental, or directly for an association member. This is what makes their balance, their documents and their requests theirs.

  3. 3
    They set their own password

The invitation link lets them choose it. You never see it, and you cannot set it for them.

They did not get the invitation

Check the spam folder first — it is almost always that. If it genuinely did not arrive, resend it from their profile. If nothing arrives at all, email is likely not configured on your account yet; contact us and we will tell you which end the problem is.
