- A booking window — how far ahead somebody may book.
- A maximum length, so one member cannot take a Saturday.
- Whether bookings need approval or are automatic.
Clashes are refused at the point of booking rather than discovered on the day. That single behaviour is most of the value — the office stops being the diary.
