Violations and fines

The record that answers a selective-enforcement accusation.

For associations

Log a violation when it is reported, with the date. Every notice sent about it is kept alongside it.

This matters more than it looks. Boards rarely lose on whether a rule was broken; they lose on selective enforcement — the claim that somebody else did the same thing and nothing happened. The defence is a list showing that the same thing was treated the same way every time, and that list only exists if it was kept as you went.

Fines

A fine posts to the member's ordinary ledger, so what they owe is one number. The same violation cannot be fined twice.
